Sometimes pimples happen -- try these tips from the American Academy of Dermatology to banish your next blemish:
• Don't pick or pop it. It'll get redder, more inflamed and possibly leave a scar.
• Keep it clean. Use facial cleansers with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide twice a day.
• Don't scrub your face. Don't irritate your face more than it is! Use your fingertips to apply and rinse away the cleanser.
• Avoid products with alcohol. They'll only dry out your skin and make the pimple look worse.
• If you have chronic or painful acne, consult your doctor.
